Life doesn’t give a damn about your progress

Your progress along your spiritual path is entirely imaginary.  It has absolutely no relationship with reality.  For me, this fact has transformed over the years from being a curse to a complete blessing.  Life doesn’t care about your progress at all.  Your wife, husband, child….even your closest friend…none of these people acknowledge you as you see yourself.  None of them give a damn about your story of development and clarity.  What a blessing!  Yes, come back here…where have you got lost this time?  Come back, stranger, to where you have always been.  We love you, not your story of you.  Life will shower you with kisses but will stonewall your story of evolution no matter how hard you try to persuade the world to the contrary.
